Passport to Offshore: A Fully Funded Offshore Workforce Program

New Competence Centre (CNK) invites students, job seekers, and working professionals from the Baltic region to participate in a fully funded pilot training program: "Passport to Offshore."

This program is designed for those interested in starting a career in the rapidly growing Port and Offshore Wind sectors.

Project Goal

This pilot program blends industry-focused training, VR simulations, and career guidance to prepare participants for real-world offshore opportunities.

Training Program

Training is conducted in small, intimate groups of up to 10 people to ensure personalised attention. The course lasts a total of 33 hours and integrates theory, practice, and career consulting.

The course curriculum includes:

  • Offshore Stationary Crane Operator Course: Specifically focusing on the handling of wind turbine components.
  • Introduction to Offshore Wind Energy (OWE): An overview of the basics of one of the world’s fastest-growing energy sectors.
  • Study Visits: On-site learning at the port and aboard vessels currently servicing offshore wind farms.
  • Practical Exercises: Training conducted in a real port environment and on immersive VR simulators.
  • Individual Career Counseling: Professional guidance to help plan your career path provided in partnership with Canadian experts.

Certification

Participants who complete the full training cycle and pass the final theoretical and practical exams will receive a Certificate of Competence.

Dates and Organisation

The course is delivered in a 5-day format (Monday to Friday), combining classroom instruction with field-based learning. This structure allows participants to focus entirely on gaining practical skills in a real work environment.

  • March 16 – 20, 2026
  • March 30 – April 03, 2026
  • April 20 – 24, 2026
  • May 11 – 15, 2026

Participation and Logistics

  • Cost: FREE.
  • Requirements: Attendance at all sessions and a passing grade on the final exam are required for certification.
  • Support: CNK provides catering for all participants and accommodation for those travelling from outside the Tricity (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot) area.
